Our church has been selected among 30 churches across the nation as one of "The Nation's Favourite Churches",a published book by Andrew Barr, associated with BBC Songs of Praise.
Mentioned in Domesday Book in 1086, Down Hatherley is a sprawling village with the church at its centre. The perpendicular tower of St. Mary and Corpus Christi Church dates from the 15th century. The building is very picturesque and is a popular church for weddings and special events. The church has close links with the Down Hatherley Cricket Club and sometimes uses its facilities for church events.
The church has its own small ministry team which leads services once or twice a month.
